  • Aunt Bee's sister and her family come for a visit. Andy and Aunt Bee quickly find they have their hands full and just need life back to "normal."

Another classic family favorite! When Aunt Bee’s sister and family come for a visit, some more of Andy’s unknown family history is revealed. Ollie takes credit for everything Andy knows from fishing to shooting a gun. Still leaves the mystery of what happened to Andy’s parents and his wife.

Uncle Ollie and Aunt Alma are extremely irritating and it makes you wonder how Andy turned out so well! If you didn’t know better, you would think that Ollie was Barney’s uncle! I always found the sleeping arrangements amusing. Why would poor Andy have to sleep with Uncle Ollie? I would have done a better job with room assignments and let those boys do some “adventure sleeping!”
  • Family Ties?

A very funny episode indeed in which Aunt Bee laments that they don't have any close "kin" around. She invites her sister and her husband and their kids to come to visit. All is not comfy or cozy for Andy as he tries to deal with his "uncle" and all his shenanigans. Even Aunt Bee has a hard time putting up with her guests! It's a particularly well written show and one in which the resolution is cleverly done.
