  • Helen's Arrest Record?

An interesting episode where we see Andy actually do something not typical of him--keep something hidden from Helen--and the results are almost disastrous for Helen as more and more people discover the secret, and she is called to task by the school board and almost loses her job. Andy returns to Mayberry just in time to explain that this photograph was part of her undercover investigative work as a journalism student. All is forgiven (although I have to say a little too quickly by Helen) and the message is clear--tell the truth.moreless

    • There are two brief scenes in this episode that take place in Kansas City, making Missouri only the fourth U.S. state outside of North Carolina to ever have scenes take place (the other three being Richmond, Virginia in "Helen the Authoress," Wheeling, WV in "Howard and Millie," and California in the two episodes that feature the Taylor's trip to Hollywood.) In addition, there are two episodes that feature scenes outside of the US: Mexico in "Trip to Mexico" and The Caribbean in "Howard's New Life."

    • In this episode we learn that Helen Crump is not a native of Mayberry but hails from Kansas City, Missouri and attended college there. How she ended up teaching at a small school in Mayberry, North Carolina is never revealed.
