This is a very good episode, in which we really focus on the relationships between Barney, Thelma Lou, Andy and Helen. It was interesting plotting to see the problem start with Barney and Thelma, become Thelma Lou and Helen, then Barney and Andy, then Andy and Helen and then finally back to Barney and Thelma Lou. Quite funny in spots and always good to see the principals of this show playing off one another. A good lesson too about minding one's affairs and not giving free advice!moreless

    • (Barney and Andy argue about whether Thelma Lou or Helen is right and who's being childish)
Barney: So deep a friendship hath one man for another, that no female caress shall ever tear it asunder. Boy, the guy that wrote that must have been some kind of a nut!

    • (Barney is angry about something; Andy waits for him to explain)
Barney: Well, you probably already guessed it anyway, so I might as well tell you. Thelma Lou and me we had a fight.
Andy: Oh, well. You've had little battles before.
Barney: Huh, huh. Not like this one, Andy. This was the grand-daddy of them all – the big bomb!
      Andy: Oh?
Barney: Came right out of the blue. We were sittin' on her front porch and all of a sudden she claimed I never took her anyplace. Oh boy, I really steamed at that. What a ridiculous thing to say. We go to church every Sunday; Tuesday nights it's her place for television; Thursday nights it's the diner for the special; and Friday nights – when I'm on duty – she's here for coffee. She just as much as said I was cheap!
Andy: Well, they are kinda low budget evenin's.
Barney: You know it's not the money, Andy.
