  • The 100 year old bond.

This episode is warm, folksy and very, very Mayberry. Andy's southern accent is as thick as molasses in this one, and he puts it to good use.

It's an interesting episode because we see Mayberry as being truly a "southern" town, complete with a confederate bond being brought out. This is truly a slice of small town life, where people know everyone's business, and everyone in the end does try to help one another. Always, of course, to help themselves too!moreless
