  • The Taylors in Hollywood!

    9.0
One of the sweetest episodes of this season, and one of my all time favorites. Whenever we are given a glimpse of Mayberry in relationship the outside world (in this case Hollywood) we are able to see the sweet simplicity of their lives. Their excitement at Andy, Bee and Opie going to Hollywood is endearing and very "folksy". It's an absolutely charming episode!

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • The article "Sheriff Without a Gun" was first mentioned in season five's "TV or Not TV." In that episode, bank robbers posed as television producers producing a television series based on the article. Despite the fact that Andy typically does not wear a gun (like Barney and Warren) he does often use guns when on manhunts and other dangerous work and even once shot a man attempting to rob a service station.

  • QUOTES (0)

  • NOTES (1)

    • This episode is part one of a four episode story arc. The story arc includes this episode that deals with the Taylor's going to Hollywood, two episodes that take place in Hollywood ("The Taylors in Hollywood" and "The Hollywood Party") and one episode that deals with their return ("Aunt Bee on TV"). This is the only multiple episode story line in the entire series.
