  • The Singer who flew the coop!

This is an interesting episode, particularly the scene between the the convinct and another convict. As they discuss Sheriff Taylor and how he treats people with respect, we get a sense of how people feel about Andy. And in the end, this is exactly what makes Andy Taylor and Mayberry so special. The actual episode is fairly run of the mill--with some good support from Howard Sprague as always. Seeing the barbershop quartet perform is very nice and Andy's dismay at having to bring along his "chicken thief" is funny to watch!moreless
