This was particularly interesting to see Andy being a little infatuated with the county nurse and wanting to impress her. The chemistry between Andy and Julie Adams is quite strong, and I'm surprised she wasn't asked to be a recurring character. Rafe Hollister is hysterical to watch. The scene where Andy tries to get him to listen to a stethoscope so he can listen to his heart "why do i need to listen to my heart? I'm alive, ain't I? My heart's beating and I don't need to listen to it". The country approach to medicine (which probably exists to this day) is actually quite informative. Rafe has never been to a doctor in his life, and as he says "I came into this world with my mama, and I'll leave with the undertaker". That line is delivered so simply and yet so honestly, you actually have to agree on some level with this approach to medicine. The episode's ending is also priceless as Andy sings a sad song to illustrate rafe's death due to the lack of tetanus shot. It's very, very funny. And a nice resolution of the storyline. A definite episode to watch!moreless
