  • Aunt Bee the Spokeswoman!

This is a charming episode where we get to see Aunt Bee's abilities (or lack thereof) as a television commmercial spokesperson. She is truly funny and warm as she tries valiantly to project the right character. A very wonderfully written and directed show, and I particularly enjoyed the scene where Andy meets Mr. Foster and has to call Goober from Mr. Foster's car phone--a very, very novel thing in the mid sixties--it's always interesting to see that car phones actually were around at that time, and that even Mayberry citizens knew what they were!moreless
