  • Reforming Otis!

A charming little tale about Andy and Barney's ultimate attachment to Otis. Barney attempts to break Otis of his attachment to alcohol by getting him interested in art. Trouble is that he's a horrible artist when he's sober and gets his feelings hurt when Andy and Aunt Bee hide his painting in the closet. This creates a need for Otis to "take his business" elsewhere and he ends up in the Mt. Pilot jail. Andy and Barney plead with him to return to Mayberry but he remains defiant. The most engaging part of this episode is when the other men in the jail begin telling Otis how great the jail in Mayberry seems. I won't tell you the end but it's a classic!moreless
