  • Funny and appealing

I watched this show and laughed at least once every minute. Richard Kind makes it all the better and Mitch Rouse did a great job as well. Ty Panitz did a wonderful job as the son and he fit the part very well. All around, this show caught my eye and I hope that they continue to make more episodes. This might just be another good comedy that makes it to the top.moreless

just got done watching it, and i have to say the main character is awesome. at times the show is laking but overall it is better than some of the crap thats coming on tv this fall.

i can't wait to see how the show goes after the pilot, if they make a few adjustments this could be a great comedy.
  • One of the better ones...

This show about the father of a family that moved to "suburbia" from New York and his story of how he copes with it is actually one of the better comedy pilots.

Of course also this show can't come without a laugh-track. But this one isn't obstrusive, so I can live with it. Ty Panitz (being "The angriest man...") does a nice portrayel of a guy who hates living in suburbia and most of the people living there. He doesn't suppress his feelings but can't help himself and confront everyone with what he doesn't like: The woman standing in front of him in the videostore talking on her cell phone and holding him up, the guy in the restaurant smoking a cigar and blowing the smoke in his direction, his gun-crazy neighbour and the pushing parents of his children's friends.

This show isn't a reinvention of comedy, it isn't very original nor is it even especially funny. It's "just" okay...

It made me smile here and there and that's alright with me. At least it isn't dumb and blunt like so many comedy-shows out there.moreless
