      Bing says in "Nice and Lonely" that no one in Cuba can buy his book because of an embargo. This is a reference to the embargo Pesident Bush declared on Cuba.

    • Norbert: Walt Whitless....
      At the end of "Soccer, I Hardly Knew Him", Norbert calls the now peaceful Daggett "Walt Whitless". This is a reference to Walt Whitmore, a 19th century transcendentalist philosopher who created the doctrine of civil disobedience.

    • Daggett: Bloomin'....
      Daggett's overuse of the British slang interjection "Bloomin'" is obviously making fun of the British.
