  • Men thought that they were better than thou!

    8.8
I hate to see Michael go but he indeed made a huge mistake

And in the end, it did cost him

Rooting for the women to win as I thought that

They would have to go into the board room and get rid

Of one of their own. The men, led by that arrogant Lee,

were overconfident as well as thought that they were better than the women!

    Women proved them wrong indeed!
  • This episode Back to School was one of the best examples of male testosterol getting in the way of doing a great job.

    9.6
The team Goldrush were the men Lee,Sean and Michael. They were so full of themselves because they had exclusive rights to the cheerleading squad. They were so sure they had this one won big time. They forgot one thing and that was to sell the food to the large crowd they had gotten to show up.This in turn cost them the total amount earned for a win.

The team Synergy women Roxanne,Allie and Tammy thought they were going to lose because they didn\'t have the support of the cheerleaders. They used their brains and decided well if the crowds will not come to us we will go to them. They took orders and delivered the food to them. With this big move the women earned the money needed to beat Goldrush.

In the boardroom Goldrush were told they earned 1000+ and they all sat there grinning. Then Synergy were told that they earned a total of 2000+ beating the men by half of the total they earned.I was so proud of the women for not giving up.I am glad they won this episode.

When the men had to sit there and be told what they did wrong I enjoyed the squirming all three did.I was sorry to see Michael go but he did make the bigger mistake.Lee learned a lesson is that don\'t count your chickens before they\'ve hatched.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • This is the second time Sean has called Michael a "wanker" during a task. The first time was during "It's more than Decor."

    • While Roxanne is not the first African-American woman to win as Project Manager (that was Marshawn from season four), she is the first African-American woman to win twice as Project Manager.

    • This is the second episode in the whole series to be called "Back to School." The first was in season four.

  • QUOTES (2)

  • NOTES (4)

    • International Air Dates:
Norway: Thursday, August 28, 2008 on TVNorge

    • Because there are only three people left on Gold Rush, Project Manager Lee isn't asked by Trump whom he'll bring into the boardroom. Trump nearly fires Lee for missing the point of the task, but Michael is fired instead for nearly negotiating to give up half of the cheerleaders Gold Rush hired for their event.

    • The Project Managers in this episode are Lee for Gold Rush and Roxanne for Synergy. Roxanne's team wins. Roxanne now has a 2-0 record as Project Manager, while Lee now has a 2-1 record.

    • Before Trump assigns the task, he asks if someone from Synergy would like to come over and help out Gold Rush after losing two of their members (Charmaine and Tarek) in the previous episode. In order to get away from the women (mainly, Allie) he feels have cast him aside, Sean volunteers to switch to Gold Rush. Because of this, Gold Rush is now all men -- Lee, Michael, and Sean. Synergy, conversely, is now all women -- Allie, Roxanne, and Tammy.
