Episode Summary

The twelve remaining candidates are challenged to write an advertising jingle for Arby's. Synergy immediately gets off to a good start when Project Manager Sean has them meet with their client right off the bat. Thanks to the input they are able to obtain, they manage to put together a very catchy jingle hitting on every aspect of Arby's. Gold Rush, already a man down because of Lee's absence, gets off on the wrong foot when Charmaine schedules a meeting with the client that Project Manager Bryce gets them to 25 minutes late. With less time to get any decent input, the team puts together a decent jingle that lacks a crucial bit of info, giving the win to Synergy. For their reward, they dine at the luxurious Alain Ducasse restaurant. Gold Rush goes to boardroom, where Bryce refuses to hold Tarek and Charmaine accountable for the loss, instead trying to hold Lenny and Lee responsible. Trump sees this as a stupid mistake and fires Bryce for it.moreless

The Donald fires Bryce after a poorly lead task. The jingle that Gold Rush creates was not as hip as the synergy one. After being too loyal in the boardroom Bryce is sent away.

Sean and Allie show sparks during the task and during dinner.

So far this season is moving very slow in the drama-factor.

  • What an awful show of bad reasoning in the board room from so-called executives.

I haven\'t seen much of this season\'s Apprentice but had nothing better to do yesterday night. I was entertained and thought their task was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the show until the boardroom.

It was truly flabbergasting to follow the decision-making that went on in there.

It was obvious that the team had lost to a better team but from no huge or blatant mistake as it usually happens. Sure they were late, but obviously it didn\'t influence the fast-food chain executives, so it was a bit ridiculous for Donald trump to bring that up so much for the show. It had no part in their loss, move on Donald.

But what happened next was so absurd, I couldn\'t believe it. Donald and his friends arguing over and over, obviously unable to listen to anybody but themselves (I\'d love to be in an argument with those guys), that Bryce should have brought back into the boardroom the 2 people of the team who actually produced most of the work on the project. Sure they didn\'t have the best song. I wouldn\'t want to hear Donald Trump sing or any song that he would come up with, somehow.

In the end, the lesson that Donald and his crew stubbornly tried to give to millions of viewers, is that work doesn\'t pay, or that it pays more to sit back and watch instead of actually taking risks, that sitting back and declaring yourself incompetent at the beginning of a task gives you a free pass (\"I don\'t know what a jingle is\"), and that religion gives you a free pass as well in business. That is the most violent show of silliness I have seen in a long time.

Sure, you can respect Lee\'s religious commitment as much as you want, I doubt clients would sit around waiting for him while he is on his holiday, no more than if he had a grand day at the beach. And poor Lenny couldn\'t be responsible for the loss, after all...he did nothing!

I\'m glad my teenage kid was not watching.

  • Where was Bryce\'s "upbringing" in the last several episodes? He may have been good as project leader, but he was pitiful up till then, and shameful after being fired.

I\'ve been saying for weeks that Bryce and Allie have to go. Think back to the previous episodes. Bryce seldom confronted anyone to their face, but was nasty on the camera when talking about them. It\'s true, he was great as the project leader, but he kept saying that he wasn\'t brought up to backstab and criticize. Really Bryce? Where was that upbringing week after week when you were nasty and vicious to your team members? I watch this show faithfully, and Bryce\'s comments in the cab were the most classless and immature that I can remember. That was the Bryce we\'ve been seeing from the beginning. It\'s too bad really. I was hoping maybe he\'d turned his life around. But in the cab, he was the same old nasty, vitriolic Bryce. Good riddance.

Allie is no better. If these candidates think back, they'll realize that all of the previous winners of The Apprentice are people who stand head and shoulders above the rest. Not one of them was an immature bitcher and moaner. That's why they won. I hire for business positions, and I'd never hire an Allie or a Bryce.

    Bryce is a whiner IMHO
And that he doesn't blame himself at all
He looks at himself like better than thou
    George isn't in this episode
As he and another contestant on the show
Are Jewish and observing the Yom Kipper day
Bryce just thinks that he is it
The Big Fish in the small pound syndrome
If you ask me my friends
But in the end, it came back and bit him in the rear
    Or in Trump's words, "You're Fired!"moreless

it wasn't a bad episode, I liked it even more since I am a Arby's junkie, I think Bryce basicly commited suicide, he begged to be fired. not only by bringing in Lenny and Lee, but also by more or less saying they really didn't deserve to be fired
I liked both jingles.. it was a close one for me and I think the lateness was more a factor
