Episode Summary

After being divided into three teams of two, the final six candidates travel to Las Vegas to launch a promotional campaign for a Trump project. The team of James and Stefani comes out the clear winners with their excellent brochure and poignant presentation. The teams of Frank and Heidi and Kristine and Nicole fall completely flat, with a poor brochure and presentation from one and a bad presentation and an incorrect phone number from the other. In the end, Heidi is fired for the poor project done by her team, and Kristine for putting the wrong phone number on her own team's product.moreless

  • Donald fires 2 more candidates...

Season 6 of this show has been of uneven quality. Fortunately, the 'Survivor-type' environment was dispensed with in this episode - with the remaining 6 candidates living in the mansion. The most interesting thing of the episode was the presentation by the 3 teams in the board-room. Team 1 (James and Stefani) did a very good presentation. Team 2 (Kristine and Nicole) get up and just become incompetent - it was surprising and uncomfortable to watch. The audience is shocked and so obviously was Donald (in the real world I'm sure they would have been kicked out the door!). Watching Team 2 implode is Team 3 (Heidi and Frank) - and they looked anxious. They get up - and Heidi seems overcome with nerves while Frank's video seems amateur-like. Again, the audience is in shock and Donald isn't impressed either. This seems to be one of those cases where all 4 candidates should have been sacked. In the real world, none of the 4 would have got the job. But for the sake of the show, only 2 get the boot (Heidi and Kristine)...moreless

  • Very up and down episode containing some of the best and worst moments of the show so far

A difficult episode to decide upon. I really liked how the teams were split into three teams and was (pleasantly) surprised at who was on each team. Less happy with the lack of project managers as I feel this should always be done: Trump wants a leader so people should be given the chance to lead. For example, Stefani has never been PM but has got to the final four. It was also not great that initially one whole team wa sgoing to be eliminated, leaving Trump with no recourse if one from each team was the weakest link. This, however, was rectified in the boardroom. The fight between Frankie and Heidi was excellent and actually showed Frankie in a much better light than previously shown and the correct decision was made when Heidi got fired. But the firing of Kristin was a joke and shows the worst of the series. She had no chance to defend herself and it was not too surprising that she made the telephone number mistake as she was basically doing the task on her own. No consideration was given to Nicole being useless and all the rest of the work was ignored. Randall in series 4 made a similar mistake with the radio station number but he still managed to go on and win (he was the best candidate which Kristin after Heidi probably was too). To sum up: interesting task and surprising team dynamics but Trump's random firings continue, with stronger candidates going for the sake of good tv. We are now left with three cartoon characters (Frankie, Nicole and to a lesser extent James) and another who has never led.moreless

  • Another episode that was pathetic.

I tape this show, I talk on the phone every night at the time this show comes on. I am glad it is taped, as you can get thru all the commercials, and concentrate on the show. Concentrating does not seem to be done on the part of the creative team. Let's do a one hour commercial for Donald Trump to sell out his second tower in Vegas now that the real estate market has softened and he has already committed to that albatross. I read another review that said that he should have fired the two teams, and I sort of agree. However there are rules and there are rules.
When James and his team kept winning he looked like a superstar in Trumps eyes, but in mine he is not. Frank is so far over his head he can't see the top, how he has lasted this long is beyond me. Of the 4 remaining victims, none is worthy of the job.moreless

  • The teams are asked to create a new sales promotion for the second Trump Tower in Vegas.

Wow it's episodes like these that really do make the Apprentice look as bottom as the barrel as they come not just with the lack of effort presented but having perhaps the most obnoxious and arrogant tv personality ever, Donald Trump.

The teams are asked to create a new sales pitch and marketing plan for second Trump Tower. The teams look dreadful from the start Frank and Heidi, Kristine and Nicole and James and Stefani. James and Stefani managed to create an impressive video and marketing brochure and talked extensively of the benefits about of Tower with theme of it being "The Height of Luxury".

The next presentation Kristine and Nicole was dreadful and was of to a poor start when Nicole couldn't start her Powerpoint presentation!!!!! That alone would get you fired in the real world but Trump lets it slide. Kristine handles the rest of the presentation giving out a decent brochure and video but both ladies stumbled on their lines quite a bit. Earlier in the episode we see what went wrong Kristine did all the work while Nicole was busy snoozing her tail off. While Kristine was asking questions at the second tower with the workers, Nicole said nothing (despite knowing a lot about real estate). Nicole made herself look really poor and crappy and her lack of contributions would have her gotten her fired in the real world but not the Apprenticenope in the Apprentice you are reward for mediocrity by having the partner that did your work being fired..

Next up is Heidi and Frank and My God words can't express how bad their presentation. In fact they had no presentation whatsoever!!!! It was a two minute video. Both Frank and Heidi looked at each like a couple of complete idiots which honestly they were. Now this should be obvious as to which team did worse (Heidi and Frank) but for reasons that only Trump himself knew he fired Kristine over the oversight that she had the wrong phone number printed on her brochure!! Yep you read that correctly!!! Forget about the fact that Nicole did NOTHING on the task, forget about the fact that Kristine did all the work. Ay Caramba!!

I could have lived with the decision if Trump would have axed Nicole as well since the RULE in this task was that both people from each team would be fired. Of course Mr. Trump is a man that makes and brakes his own rules so of course he didn't follow through with his word here. Hmmm.

Next up for whateverreason Trump decides to fire Heidi but not Frank over her horrible brochure. I could live with that as well but Frank did NOTHING on this task as well. In the end they both should have been fired, there was clearly no plan worked between them, no real presentation they both did their own thing and essentially decided to cover their own butts and failed. Truth be told both teams should have been fired, however, Kristine should have stayed in my opinion because she clearly did more work than Frank, Nicole and Heidi combined. Trump's firing of Kristine was both idiotic, mean spirited and Indicative of a guy who gets off on his power.moreless

Man oh man Heidi's performance declined rapidly. She wa lazy, couldn't seem to produce anything and she told so many lies. The video produced by Frnak was horrible. It had absolutely no core messages. Nicole was also horribly lazy and contributed nothing to the project. She slept while her teammate worked. She definitely should have been fired. Kristine committed the unforgiveable sin by having the wrong phone number on the brochure. It's probably because she was so overwhelmed doing all the work herself. I would have fired Nicole and kept her as, other than that, her video and brochure were fine.moreless
