Sixteen new celebrities arrive at Trump Tower to vie for the title of the Celebrity Apprentice. They are divided into two teams -- Backbone (the men) and ASAP (the women). The first week's task is to run pizzerias. The teams set a fundraising record, with ASAP making more money for the win. Project Manager Star Jones won $169,372 for the charity of her choice, the American Heart Association, and her team's star player, Niki Taylor, won $35,000 for her own charity, the American Red Cross. Backbone went to the boardroom, where David Cassidy was fired.moreless

I have always approved the idea that our parents gave us the wrong education for most of us...Yeah be kind, treat everyone with respect, obey all the rules etc etc etc...Although it may seem good for us it isn't because the world is full of people who doesn't play by the rules, people who love hurting others...In those moments you need to fowl up and play by their rules.

I liked Richard Hatch...His judgment and assessment of the fact were surprising...Seeing him on the board being a beast and saying the fact pretty accurate was really nice...A lot of people don't give him a lot of chances to win, however I think he has the killer instinct necessary to...All the team was against him for being to verbal, but he just played all or nothing...And I think Donald saw that him both as an audience raiser (because let's be honest everyone loves scandals) and a Pierce Morgan follower maybe... He may or may not win this but he has had a nice start.moreless

- Project Manager Richard chose to bring Jose and David into the boardroom with him for their part in Backbone's loss. Trump did briefly take Richard to task for his leadership, but after hearing him fight with David and Jose for too long over whether or not he got physical with the former during the task, Trump questionably decided that Richard's argument won out, and that David did not have enough spirit for the competition, and thus did he fire David.
