    5/5/05
    6.7
In the sixteenth week of the Apprentice job interview, the final three candidates are faced with actual interviews - not by Mr. Trump, but by top executives from four of America's largest corporations. These executives see little potential in Craig, who is fired on the spot. Immediatley, Kendra and Tana are given their final tasks: Kendra is to run a video game tournament sponsored by Best Buy, while Tana is to operate the NYC 2012 Athlete Challenge, part of New York City's bid for the Olympic Games. Trump brings back six previous Apprentice candidates, giving three of them to both of the final women as employees, and the ultimate tasks begin. Kendra faces trouble from sponsorships, Tana deals with unorganization, and both women struggle with their hard-to-lead employees. Who will prosper in the final challenge of intelligence and business savvy?moreless
  • Bedazzled by a Beefy T
    4/28/05
    7.1
The final four's task this week is to design and sell commemorative t-shirts, using a professional artist and the hip fashion store Scoop, for Hanes' 50th anniversary. Neither of the teams get along well, when Craig and Kendra, alone on a team, fight the entire task, and Tana distracts her team with finding the Bedazzler, a tool used to decorate the t-shirts. In the end, Networth's distractions cost them the task; they only sell $1147.95 worth of shirts to Magna's sale of $2705. As a reward, Magna competes in an Aerial Dog Fight to let off steam and have some fun. Networth, on the other hand, winds up having no fun in the boardroom, where Trump fires Alex because of his losing record.moreless

    4/21/05
    6.8
This week's task is to create a new product for Staples that helps clean up clutter. Despite the ongoing clashing between Craig and Kendra, Magna works together, using a focus group and innovating an existing idea, and creates a rotating caddy for storage. The Staples executives deem their idea better than Networth's "Packrat," an illogical and fairly useless storage desk, earning Magna a reward. For their reward, Magna wins personal time with George and Carolyn at a nice breakfast. Networth, meanwhile, ends up in the boardroom, where Bren admits that he is not a risk taker. Trump immediately sees a flaw and nips it in the bud, firing Bren.moreless

This week's task is to create the best do-it-yourself clinic in a Home Depot store. Magna creates the better clinic, presenting a hands-on demonstration of designing and decorating a "box," as opposed to Networth's unoriginal and closed-off demonstration of putting together a cart. Magna wins, and for their reward, the candidates learn what it is like to be an astronaut when they are taken up in a plane to a zero-gravity section of the atmosphere, allowing them to literally fly in the air. Meanwhile, Networth ends up in the boardroom, where Erin is fired because of her disrespectful comments to Carolyn and George.moreless

Audrey has a major meltdown as a result of last week's boardroom, where her entire team targeted her as the weakest link. Audrey, determined to prove the others wrong, fights to become her team's Project Manager for this week's task, creating and running a miniature golf course. Networth, with PM Audrey, fails to impress children with their Circus theme, and Chris seems to scare the kids away with his inappropriate tobacco-chewing habit. Magna PM Stephanie, however, entertains everyone with her Jungle-themed course. After the total tally, Magna comes out the winners, sending them to a golf course to play with Trump, and sending Networth to the boardroom, where Audrey is fired.moreless
  • The Writing on the Wall
    2/24/05
    6.8
Magna, ready for action now that they have shed themselves of Michael, proves the importance of Michael's dismissal when they excel at the next assignment, designing and painting an ad campaign, in the form of a mural in New York City, for the Playstation 2 game Grand Turismo 4. Using the opinions of NYC citizens, Magna Corporation creates a strong, relatable campaign that sells the product. Networth's Project Manager Tara, on the other hand, focuses too much onto "giving back" to the community, and her lack of attention to marketing a video game causes her team to fail. Later, Magna is treated to a photoshoot with a famous photographer while Trump fires Tara from Networth.moreless

    2/17/05
    7.4
The job this week is to create a new business with an airstream trailer, and take in the most money. Project Managers are found in Tana and Bren, who have varrying degrees of success leading their teams. While Tana struggles to find a willing casting director for a service, her risk pays off big, and Bren, along with trying to operate a spa, has trouble with keeping his teammates, especially Michael and Stephanie, from fighting. In the end, Networth brings in more money than Magna, ensuring a win and giving Networth team members $20,000 to spend in a jewelry store. Magna, meanwhile, is given orders to report to the boardroom, where Michael is fired for being too lazy and not assertive enough.moreless

Given the challenge of creating a 30-second commerical for Dove Cool Moisture Body Wash, the teams excel at coming up with concepts but struggle with executing the focuses of their commercials. Once the teams are done shooting, they show their work to Donny Deutsch, an advertising agent, who shoots down both commercials, calling Magna's, which involves a chef massaging a cucumber with a gay twist at the end, too risque and sexy - almost a pornographic - and Net Worth's, about a losing runner who uses Dove to revitalize himself, too safe and idiotic. Both teams lose due to their disastrous commercials, and both teams meet with Trump in the boardroom, where Kristen is fired.moreless

This week's task is to create the most buzz about NesCafé's Taster's Choice coffee. Before the task begins, an unhealthy Verna quits the show due to a high stress level and a low energy level. During the challenge, Angie leads her team to a creative campaign, while Michael slacks off for his team. The extra effort would not have hurt, seeing that Networth's team, full of energy, ultimatley creates the bigger buzz for the win, and as a reward, they are treated to a helicopter ride around Manhattan. Magna goes to the boardroom, where they try to oust Michael's exemption. Trump, sticking to the rules, fires the Project Manager, Danny, and Magna loses two members in one week.moreless

This week's task is to renovate a motel along the New Jersey shoreline, in hopes of recieving the highest customer rating for staff friendliness, and overall cleanliness. Despite some problems involving Verna walking off of the task because of lack of energy, Magna averages a 3.97 customer rating, winning a yacht ride with Steve Forbes. Networth's problems on the task are apparently sufficiently larger - PM Brian decides to buy brand new toilets instead of spending the money on something more worthwhile - proved when their customer ratings only average a 2.92, sending them to the boardroom, where Project Manager Brian is fired after he admits to Mr. Trump that he did the worst on the task.moreless

Season three begins with a new twist - the candidates are seperated by educational background. Magna is composed of college graduates and Networth is made up of self-made businesspeople with only a high school diploma. Their first task is to create the most enticing advertisement campaign for a new burger for the Burger King menu, alongside running a Burger King restaurant for a day. Magna's Danny and Stephanie struggle to think up an advertising scheme, and to make matters worse, the team is understaffed at the restaurant, and the Project Manager Todd is not trained to work a register. On the other hand, despite friction between Kristen and Brian, Networth thrives with a smart marketing campaign. At the end of the task, Networth trumps Magna, earning a dinner at The 21 Club and immunity from the boardroom. Magna is given a ticket to the boardroom, where Todd is fired for making poor decisions.moreless
