Another great animated program from William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. The Atom Ant Show was one of many 30 minute cartoon programs from the studio of Hanna-Barbera Productions that entailed three seperate cartoons. The Atom Ant show had the cartoons of Atom Ant, Precious Pup and The Hillbilly Bears. All three of theses shows were very entertaining and fun to watch. They were originally broadcast in the mid 60's. As with most Hanna-Barbera cartoons this one was sponsered by Kelloggs cereal. This show ran for 20 episodes and then was sheleved for a new projecct. No of the Hanna-Barbera show had a very long run. There were two main resons for this. One, they wanted to keep their cartoons new and fresh. Two, a group of wacko parents complained about the violence. This same group would complain about Granny from Looney-Tunes hitting Sylverster with her umbrella when he tried to eat Tweety. I think they just need to get a life.
