When Granny leaves Precious to guard the money, he skips to one spot and then back to where he was. The editors forgot to correct this.
Mugsy: If it wasn't for this dumb dog, we'd be rich.
Lucky: Ah, keep quiet.
Lucky: Com on dog. Give me back that fifty grand.
Mugsy: Yeah, it don't belong to you.
Mugsy: Look Boss! I think he buried it here.
Lucky: Well, stop thinking and start digging.
Lucky: Did ya get it, Mugsy? Did ya get it? Did ya get it?
Mugsy: (runs back on all fours with the stick in his teeth) Yeah boss. I got it! I got it!
Lucky: Not you, the pooch!
Mugsy: Gee boss, you're smart.
Lucky: Never mind the compiments, just remember what to do.
Mugsy: Sure boss. Duh...I won't forget boss.
Mugsy: Alright, hand it over you mangy mutt. (Precious grabs the money box in his mouth and runs off) Hey! Come back here with that dough!
Granny: Now remember, Precious. Don't let anyone touch that box.
Granny: Precious, what are you doing? What are you digging for you silly dog?
Granny: Oh look Precious. There goes a Red Coated Marmaduke.
This is a possible reference to the comic strip of the time about a big red great dane named Marmaduke.
