Another great animated series from William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. This was actually an hours worth of programming that ran to 1/2 hour shows back to back. The Atom Ant Show was one of many 30 minute cartoon programs from the studio of Hanna-Barbera Productions that entailed three seperate cartoons. The Atom Ant show had the cartoons of Atom Ant, Precious Pup and The Hillbilly Bears. All three of theses shows were very entertaining and fun to watch. They were originally broadcast in the mid 60's. As with most Hanna-Barbera cartoons this one was sponsered by Kelloggs cereal. This show ran for 20 episodes and then was sheleved for a new projecct. None of the Hanna-Barbera show had a very long run. There were two main resons for this. One, they wanted to keep their cartoons new and fresh. Two, a group of wacko parents complained about the violence. The Secret Squirrel Show was a seperate show that ran directly afterwards. other characters from the show included Morocco Mole, Chief and Yellow Pinkie. Bother were great shows and very funny. Catch them in re-run if you get the chance.
  • All the time I spent watching them as a child...

The characters in this show were among my favourite as a child.
Atom Ant is great (or at least was to me).
The dog was a SOB but hilarious anyway.
    And the bears were terrific.
The rest of them i didn't like em that much, but mostly, for this ones, this show was one of a kind.
