Professor Von Gimmick creates a termite called Dotzilla that can eat anything. He plans on using it for his own means but the termite gets loose and Von Gimmick cannot control it. He calls Atom Ant and tells him about the termite because he knows that Atom Ant is the only one who can stop it.
Atom Ant leaps into action and finds the termite. He confronts Dotzilla and finds out that he is really strong. Atom Ant tries to stop the termite by sealing it in a safe, then concrete and then dropping it in the ocean but Dotzilla breaks free and returns to his destructive rampage. Then Atom Ant tries a machine gun, but Dotzilla just eats all the bullets and then the gun. Atom Ant decides that the only way to stop the jaws of steel are to gum them up so he goes to a candy store and gets a stick of gum. He gives it to Dotzilla and he loves it.
Von Gimmick goes into the sanitation business by using Dotzilla to eat all the junk and garbage and then he keeps him under control by giving him gum.
