  • Kang the Conqueror's attack on Earth is full blown and the Avengers finally come up with a plan. They are taken out one by one until a realization takes place that changes the entire battle. Interesting episode with one plot issue, but great ending.moreless

The Earth is falling under Kang's control and the Avengers are forced to take the fight to his base. Iron Man suits up the Avengers and brings along their Ultron bots for support. But one team member makes a sacrifice and is lost as soon as the journey begins. The Avengers' ship is attacked as it journeys through space and several Ultron bots are destroyed forcing Iron Man and Wasp to provide support. The remaining Avengers make it inside Kang's ship only to face his Elite Guards. Kang's guards have resources at their disposal that should have made quick work of the Avengers, but they fail. This was the only issue I had with this episode. Kang then joins the battle and takes out several Avengers until Iron Man rejoins the team with the remaining Ultron bot. He shows Kang that he done his homework since their last meeting and has learned to infiltrate his system. Iron Man and Captain America take Kang down and threaten to end everything until Wasp arrives and reveals the true reason behind Kang's conquest. Kang's ship is not sent back through time, but he is sent to the Negative Zone holding facility where he makes an interesting revelation. He finally reveals to Iron Man and Captain America that the Captain's "betrayal" is what ultimately destroys the future. This leads comic fans to believe that the Civil War storyline will be an upcoming adventure. Oh yea did I forget to mention the teasing of another great Avengers' adversary? This series is moving along nicely!moreless

    • (Iron Man and Wasp are trying to enter Kang's ship)
Iron Man: I could try my uni-beam.
Wasp: Or we could pretend to be Girl Scouts. Everyone opens the door for Girl Scouts.
Iron Man: You're not helping, Jan.

    • Iron Man: Guys, we're cut off. A forcefield sealed the breach.
Captain America: Hang on. We'll find a way to open it.
Iron Man: No. Stick with the plan, we'll find another way in.
      Wasp: We will?
Iron Man: I don't know. I'm just making this up as I go along!
