Many series fans no doubt object to this episode primarily because it is apparently an early, abortive attempt to go in a non-Cathy direction with the series. Personally, I didn't mind the actress, Julie Stevens, or the story idea as much as I did several other things.

First, the audio quality on this episode is abyssmal, which whole lines being almost indecipherable. Second, the direction, particularly in the action scenes, is really awkward and ill-staged. In one sequence, Steed actually seems to be looking off-camera for someone to tell him what to do next.

Finally, the idea of a masked wrestler as a killer is just so laughable to modern audiences, that it's just about impossible to take the rest of the plot seriously.

I do think, though, if those three problems could have been fixed, the episode might actually have been rather entertaining.moreless
