  • Everyone has a secret fear - even Steed and Emma?

    7.5
One does see that a phobia is a nasty thing to be stuck with, but would so many tough business executives be reduced to gibbering catatonia, seemingly permanent, by the sight of a mouse or a spider or by being driven at too high a speed? Well, no-one ever tuned into "The Avengers" in the hope of finding a credible storyline, and the high efficiency of the direction and acting make up for a lot of plot deficiencies. Patrick Cargill is an odious villain and Annette Carell, an excellent actress who died too young and is now largely (and unjustly) forgotten, is positively scary as the pitiless, all-seeing psychology expert.moreless
