Mrs Peel: Where will you be?
Steed: Situation like this one does have to go and see Mother.

    • Tara: You'll want my address and phone number.
      Steed: I beg your pardon?!
Tara: Well, I told you I saw your file, details everything, even your Achilles heel.

  • Notes

    • Patrick Newell films his first appearance as Mother, on the fifth day of filming of this episode.

    • Linda Thorson's hair was badly damaged as the result of an order issued by a studio executive that Tara King should be a blonde. Linda said: 'They were so afraid that I was going to be just like Diana, that everything was done to go against that image; blonde instead of dark; fluffy and pink instead of black leather. Being a natural brunette, they decided to give me a day-to-day, weekly treatment of ninety-volume peroxide. As a consequence, my hair became brittle and eventually fell out. I was left with a short stubble of patchy growth on my head. So during the first half dozen episodes, I camouflaged this by wearing a selection of colourful wigs and hid from the public gaze for about six months until my own hair had regrown and I could show my face in public.'
