  • This episode was pretty good.

    8.5
This was a good pilot episode. It featured all characters, which we don't see to often, and a pretty good plot, although there didn't appear to be a moral in this episode. Or maybe I just didn't see it, I don't know. My little sister liked it though. It was interesting to see a set of events/tasks that had to be completed to get through to the end, and with a happy ending of a them all gathering at one's house for a treat. This episode also had good songs, such as the popular "A message" song, as well as "P.U.".moreless

  • The adventure begins. King Arther had better look out because Tasha is on the throne. Where can she find help? Uniqua, of course, and her trusted companions Tyrone and Pablo. Will they deliver the message to King Austin? Is there really ever any doubt?moreless

Uniqua is the child every parent wants as their own. She is not afraid of anything, she makes friends well, and is able to accomplish every task she attempts. She makes a good role model for they little ones. Here she is called upon to take the daring adventure of delivering a message. No, there are no dragons to slay and no damsals ever get into too much distress. Still, she leads the valiant team to its final destination. There is never any doubt that the team will get from Queen Tasha's castle to King Austin's castle. This show proves the journey is as important as the destination.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • Watch carefully just before King Austin declares that he will make Uniqua, Pablo and Tyrone knights. Uniqua is holding the message for him in her hand and then the view cuts to King Austin. When the view changes back to Uniqua, the message is gone from her hand. A bit later, when she gives King Austin the message, she seems to simply pull it out of thin air.

    • In the intro, we hear Pablo say, "In the place where we belong." However, his mouth/beak moves BEFORE he says that. This is also in every other episode.

    • When Pablo is panicking that the rock in the Swamp of Stinkiness is sinking & Tyrone & Uniqua are telling him to jump, the rock stops sinking, & resumes sinking when Pablo jumps off.
