  • The plot is below par for The Backyardigans, and Uniqua acts more like a scheming sit-com character than the Uniqua we love. It's still way better than most other shows, and the music and lyrics are wonderful.moreless

Pretty disappointing. Like the Yeti episode (the only other I'm not crazy about), this one is driven by argument. The Backyardigans may be mischievous, and sometimes they play "evil" characters like supervillains, but I thought this was out of character. Especially for Uniqua, who often provides a special touch of emotional maturity and empathy to the characters' interactions.

Luckily, the music (as always) is fantastic. The lyrics are hard to catch but worth the effort as they are extremely clever. I just wish the rest lived up to the music.moreless
  • Overall pretty good, but the singing voices has changed.

The episode was pretty good. This episode doesn\\\\\\\'t have a strong message like the others, but my toddler really enjoyed it. I enjoyed Tyronne in his character, of course he was laid back. Tasha has yet to fail me with her take charge attitude. Pablo and Austin was their usual selves, and Uniqua appeared to be different from her normal self. I have to get use to all of the voice changes. I like the fact that all of the characters were in the episode. It appeared that Jamia Nash was not singing for the Uniqua character. Uniqua singing voice appeared to be higher then usual.moreless
