The CW (ended 2008)
Don't expect every Batman cartoon and movie to be perfect.
I have the right to expect that. After all, they embargo'd everyone else, which indicates they have lofty expectations for this series. Plus, they put Batman in it so they HAVE to at least be half as good as they pretend to be.
That being said, I'm extremely disappointed to what they did to Bane, Joker, Man-Bat, Mr. Freeze, Firefly, Cluemaster, Ragdoll, Alfred, and the Riddler but pleased about Clayface and Batman vs. Dracula. The first season was really pathetic and it really only picked up near the end.
Are you displeased with what they did to Firefly, Cluemaster, and Ragdoll? Or are you displeased they included them?
Because those are pretty crappy villains.
I think cluemaster and ragdoll are crappy villains but it has nothing to do with how they were presented on this show. Firefly was alright but I prefer the B:GK version.
I wish people lay off the Batman. So what if the series is not good as BatmanTAS and it's not much base on the comics? big deal! Don't expect every Batman cartoon and movie to be perfect.
I think the show is good. Not great, but good. I don't like what they did with Bane, they made him TOO big. Cluemaster is a lame character in the comic books, he's no improvement here. Ragdoll, who was more an enemy of the Golden Age Flash, is good here. I think the take on the Joker and Riddler is very interesting. The look of the Penguin is good, but I don't like him having the ability to fight so well. I DO like those Kabuki ninja girls he has, though. I'd like to learn more about them. For the most part, the show is doing well in my opinion. I'm not that wild about them introducing Batgirl before Robin, she seems to be holding her own though. I like the show and hope that it is around for at least two more seasons. And, let us not forget, "Batman: The Animated Series" didn't exactly follow the comic books history neither: Two-Face had a different origin, Bane never broke Batman's back, the Joker neither paralyzed Barbara nor killed Robin (for that matter, there was no Jason Todd as Robin), Rupert Thorne never became Mayor of Gotham City, etc. In other words, let it go already!
...85 eps of perfection baby...
