  • best episode ever for joker

    This has got to be the best Joker episode of the series. It wasnt perfect because Joker did not get enough action involving batman. But other than that a well written episode.! !! ! ! d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d dd d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d dmoreless
  • With the villains they've been using this season they would have to make improvements to make Joker a threat, but they did.

Lex Luthor, Vertigo, Phosphorous and Mirror Master. Joker has had bank robberies, airwave highjacking, wierd joke crimes, and seeling people inside playing cards, none of them are anything compared what Joker did in this episode. A robbery of everywhere and blowing up all of Gotham city. The whole Barbara Gordon Robbery thing seemed suspicious, if Barbara Gordon Robbed a museum, wouldn't her father get involved and wouldn't he have noticed that it was her Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne together and used that to figure out that Bruce Wayne is Batman. The only thing that was slightly disappointing was the "End of line" joke, but if they had missed it I would have complained.moreless

This episode was a bit obvious to me at first but I was damn wrong. At first I thought it was one of those "spend the whole epuisode hunting the villain" episodes but it led to a mystery of: Why is everyone going insane? When it became obvious of the reason, Joker captured the Bat team and left them to be destroyed. But there was a poor judgement lapse here: Joker had the Bat Team knocked out and took the time to tie them up rather then peeking under their masks. I found this out of Joker's character. Othere than that I thought this was a not Fantastic like "Two of a Kind" but more so above adverage.moreless
  • Very decent episode.

The Joker's return in this episode was very decent to a tee.

    But some issues:

    1. Plotholes: How did the light affect the people? Through nuerological senses? That should've been explained. The Batcave being too clse to the actual cave they were trapped in I'm still having some issues getting over with as well.

    2. Joker: Suprisingly brilliant, but could've done better in my honest opinion. He had Batman right where he wants him, yet he leaves him unattended? He should've known Batman always have a way to escape. That was just crelessness on his part. But meh, it makes the episode.

But It's all good though. I'm not angry, just disatisfied to a tee.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • The bird skeleton Joker carries with him is a canary. Miners would bring canaries into mine shafts to monitor air quality. If the bird died, they would evacuate. Today, we have equipment to verify air content as well as oxygen levels.

  • QUOTES (10)

    • Robin: Someone got a case of the giggles.
      Batgirl: Who?
(Batgirl looks at Batman and Batman nods, signaling it's her)
Batgirl: (gasps) No. Well, I must have been really out of it. I hate pearls.

    • Joker: This is the cuckoo choo-choo, now leaving on track nine! Next stop: city limits, and the end of Gotham as we know it!

    • Batgirl: Well, got to go.
Batman: And where are you off to in such a hurry?
      Robin: Late for a train?
Batgirl: Midnight madness sale at Gotham Shoes. You coming with me?
      Robin: She's a regular joker.

    • Batgirl: I hate to say it, Batman, but he's right. There's no way we can catch Joker now.
      Robin: We've got nothing.
Batman: Not so. (looks at dynamite attatched to rock) We've got explosives.

    • (After Batman blows a wall in the Batcave)
      Alfred: Good heavens!
Batman: Sorry about the mess, Alfred.
Alfred: The front door too conventional for you, sir?

    • Batman: In the late 1800s, Gotham was a striving coal-mining town. Who knows how many tunnels riddled the city's foundations?
Joker: Ooh! Crime-fighter and history professor all in one!

    • Joker: What's the matter with the lights?!
Batman: Your scheme has just been de-railed.

    • Batgirl: You know, it's really a shame to seal it up. Maybe you should expand. Add a Batgirl cave!
      Robin: Batgirl cave?!
Batgirl: I'm old enough to have my own cave. I can park my cycle there, bring in some exercise equipment, a couple of bean-bags …
Robin: How come she gets her own cave?
      I want my own cave!
Batman: Nobody's getting their own cave.

    • Bruce: After her morning shopping trip, Barbara took the train to school.
Dick: Let's just hope they don't have a shoes store on campus.

    • Bruce: Joker did something to Barbara at some point during her day.
Dick: Yeah, and by retracing her steps, we're hoping to figure out when and where. But, Bruce! We just spent the last two hours watching her shop for handbags!
Bruce: Well, you're in luck. I think she's moved on to the main event.
      Dick: Comic books?
      Bruce: Shoes.
      (Dick groans)

  • NOTES (5)

    • Robin vs. Batgirl
When Robin pins Batgirl (under Joker's influence) to the wall, she runs up the wall to get free. Robin used the same trick on Terra in the Teen Titans episode "Aftershock (1)". Apparently, this is where Robin learned that trick from.
