  • Maxie Zeus is introduced as an, ancient greece obsessed, politician gone mad and Batgirl becomes batmans partner.

    8.6
This is one of the most brilliant episodes of season 3 but the plot with Maxie Zeus needs some work. I wish they had him going crazy bit by bit after he lost the election to mayor Grange. I would of made it an ongoing arc to replace the Hugo Strange one. Also even if they were going to do it in one episode they still should have spreaded it out more. As to why this is among the best episodes I loved the greek references in his weapons and thought it was done better than Fire from Olympus. Also I liked how Batman finnally excepted batgirl as his partner. This episode is definetly reccomended.moreless
  • Maximillion Zeus, a millionaire and a Greek history fanatic, becomes trouble when he tries to destroy Gotham using his thunder weapon. Even with the introduction of the Batwing, Batman is still unable to stop Maxmillion Zeus. Looks like it is up to Batgirmoreless

    - I LOVE this episode becuase of the "Batgirl steps up and saves the day" and the "IT'S ABOUT TIME!!" factors

    1. The "Batgirl steps up and and saves the day" factor relates to the fact of how Batgirl snuck into Maximillion Zeus' headquarters and pulled the plug on his weapon (literally), saving Batman's life. Then Batgirl steers Maximillion Zeus' headquarters into the harbor, saving the entire city in the process.

    2. The "IT'S ABOUT TIME!!" factor relates to the fact that Bruce Wayne aka Batman FINALLY makes Batgirl his "official" partner, by giving Batgirl the following items:

    - Her own utility belt ( Batgirl's "former" utility belt was just a costume accessory)

    - A grappling gun (Just like the one Batman uses)

    - A Batwave PDA (Just like the one Batman gave Detective Yin back in the first season)

    - I also liked how Batman sounded worried about Batgirl when he said "Batgirl" and "Come on" when Batgirl was piloting Maximillion Zeus' headquarters into the harbor.

    - When Batgirl said "Partner? That would suggest we actually speak once in a while. You know, keep each other in the loop?", I was thinking ""Ouch, she (meaning Batgirl) told you (meaning Batman)!" just like I did for the episodes "The Laughing Cats" and "The Apprentice ".moreless
  • It broke?

    9.5
This episode had a slightly above average story, an even better subplot, great animation, and the new Batwing. A lot happened in this episode so you had to keep your eyes open the whole time. Batman did a lot of fighting. Yay violence. Between "Thunder" and "Fire From Olympus" I'd favor this episode mainly because of the animation. Yay Bats, two good episodes in a row!
  • "Im finally in the loop"

    9.9
Batgirl is finally in the loop. An episode that revealed if it wasnt for Batgirl nothing would have stopped this episodes villian from blowing up the Gotham Bridge. Nice to see that she is finally accepted..... Somewhat.... by Bruce Wayne at least. I hope they continue to grow on the relationship. Hopefully now they can move forward with more heroes.
  • not terribly creative.

    1.2
Horribly rushed and thoughtless episode. In Batman the Animated Series, Maximillian Zeus was cleverly depicted as being mentally unstable. Here, he is an unusually ambitious millionaire that can barely muster a Greek reference, and is incredulous even for James Bond standards. His first animated appearance was packed with ancient Greek references, this one is just a sprinkling- Heck, the building he evaporated was more Hellenistic-looking than the airship he's piloting. Really, Really sad attempt to bring a minor but potentially interesting Batman foe to the small screen. And if they keep shoving Batgirl in the audience face like they are, we might begin to wonder if The Batman's target audience is preteen girls.moreless
