    • Thames repeated this episode on August 27, 1984, and again (according to Robert Ross' book Merry Master of Mirth) on December 4, 1984.

For many years, the complete Hill's Angels "Wild, Wild West" (a.k.a. "Lady Godiva") routine was unseen after this show's original U.K. airing, due to the fact that two of the personalities Louise English had impersonated in her musical number, Tommy Cooper and Leonard Rossiter, had died within a few months of each other in 1984. (In that segment, she had impersonated Cooper, Rossiter, and the comedy team of [Tommy] Cannon and [Bobby] Ball.) For many years thereafter, the routine went from Benny introducing Louise and the Angels, and the audience taking their seats at their tables, to the Angels doing their "slap, slap," dance number which, in the original routine, had come after Louise's number. It was in this truncated configuration that the routine was presented in the 1985 HBO Video compilation The Benny Hill Show - Vol. 6 (later repackaged as Benny Hill's Video Spotlight), the British home video compilation It's Benny Hill!, and airings in U.S. syndication and on Comedy Central in the 1990's. The entire sketch, complete with Louise's impressions, would be part of this show as on A&E's Set 5 DVD which was released in September of 2006.

Besides the edits to the above routine, much of what was left of that bit, plus the last shot of the "Sit Up & Listen" sketch were also cut from Comedy Central's repeat airings.

    • The song "Hey, Lady Godiva," which was the centerpiece of the Hill's Angels "Wild West" routine, was written by Shel Silverstein. It was originally recorded by Dr. Hook and The Medicine Show and released on their début album for Columbia Records, Doctor Hook (C 30898, 1972; side 1, track 4).

    • This is the first episode to have some of the outdoor scenes (the closing go-cart chase) filmed at Thorpe Park in Surrey, England (just outside London). Many of the later episodes featured this park for most or all of the outdoor scenes.

    • This episode was taped on January 28, 1983.

    • At the beginning of the "Holiday" sketch, they show some B&W footage of a bi-plane. This footage is also used on show 16 during the "Jackie Wright's Holiday" sketch.

    • In the "Holidays" segment, there are several instances of brief female nudity, a bit of a rarity on this series: first, a few brief filmed insert shots at a hotel of two topless swimmers. Later, two of Hill's Angels are doing some topless sunning on the beach in front of Hill and briefly stand up in front of him. Though shot from behind, you can clearly see Corinne Russell's breasts several times in this segment. Later, in another sketch, you can also see most of Russell's bottom (she's only wearing a thong) where she is playing the part of a stripper (she's topless here, too, but is holding a large balloon to cover the essential areas). Although the above sequences have made their way into several home video compilations unaltered, they are routinely edited on US television broadcasts to eliminate the nudity.
