The Best Damn Sports Show Period

Show Summary

In July 2001, Fox Sports decided to introduce a sports show like no other. Not only would it cover all important sports news and scores, but it would also feature some of the funniest comedians, and most of them are ex-players. Some of them are John Kruk, John Salley, and Michael Irvin. Topped off with comedians Tom Arnold and Chris Rose, Playboy Playmate of the month for 1998 Lisa Dergan, and Lisa Guerrero, the show went to extraordinary heights. A regular show features talk between the hosts, talk with guest stars, an update about every 20 minutes, and hilarious games, such as Things You Wouldn't Say To... What will Tom and the gang do next? Who knows!

The Best Damn Sports Show Period is a good, entertaining sports show. Chris Rose is the main host, with a panel of former pro athletes as the other host. Tom Arnold also use to be a member of the panel. The is very basic, The panel talks sports, brings out guest such as actors, current athletes, etc. They talk sports or whatever they are plugging. The fun comes when they play games with the athletes or celebrities. It is also a good show because they don't always stick to the same routine. Every once in a while they will have a best damn countdown, Where they will count down the top 50 sports moments, athletes, bloopers, or whatever. They also host Pageants, Boxing matches, etc. Overall it's a great blend of Sports, Comedy, and Fun!moreless
  • A great combination of sports and comedy.

This is the show I was refering to in my review of Mohr Sports. I think this is a much better fit than Jay's show. Jay just was not, well , funny enough. In this show you have more people to give input and they maybe have more time to sit and think of something funny to say. This is a fun show to watch and lots of sports stars will show up for interviews. They will also do satelite interviews with sports stars that maybe have just got done with a big game. Lots of fresh and hip opinions and a very good show over all.moreless
  • One of the best sports talk shows.

If this is a show that you do not normally watch and you are sitting at home with nothing to do, you are going to wish you had it on tape. Having it "on tape" had become the generic term for recorded programs. Today you are more likely to have the show on Tivo or DVR than VHS, or god forbid Beta!! It is kind of like how a lot of people still call CD's "records" or "albums." Anyway, back to the show. This is the type of show that is really pretty good if you would just give it a chance. So on those cold, lonely, rainy days, pop in your tape or DVR or whatever if you were smart enough to tape it. If not, check to see if it is on as a re-run. After all, as they say, if you have never seen it, it is new to you.

This show really isn't that great a Sports show. They get Tom Arnold, Chris Rose and a couple of has been athletes together. The show really isn't that funny and all the pre-rehearsed things are really badly done. I bet you the only reason this show is still on the air is because of Leann Tweeden. She is the super sexy corrospondent for this show. I swear she isn't that great a corrospondent but because of her sex appeal this show has been going for 4 years. I bet you as soon as she is gone the show's going to be cancelled.moreless
  • Don't be fooled. This is actually the Worst Damn Sports Show Period.

Don't be fooled. This is actually the Worst Damn Sports Show Period. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have Tom Arnold host a sports show needs to have his/her head examined. The banter between the regulars (Arnold, Chris Rose, Salley, John Kruk, etc.) is painfully inane. They do nothing but line up softball questions for their guests, or have them do stupid stunts instead of getting them to talk about more interesting things. They resort to random titillation with the female hosts like Leeann Tweeden. And when she's not on there to shamelessly flaunt her sexuality, her short reporting features are just flat out dumb.

Sports fans, we are better than this. If you are currently a viewer of "Best Damn," stop watching it. If you haven't started, then you aren't missing a damn thing.moreless
