  • Amazing.

Loved this program. Sam was the best! But I want to know where I can re-watch them. No where I go has the episodes.
  • A nice surprise. My Friday nights on the N just got better.

I was watching one of my favorite shows Degrassi and then I saw a new show was premiering afterward, so I decided to stay tuned. It was a lot better than I expected - it was actually really good. There is great character developement even this early on. You really get to connect with the characters, esspecially Sam, who is so brave and strong. It's also very realistic and well written. I like it almost as much as Degrassi after only one episode. This show really has a lot of potential and I can't wait to see the direction that it takes in upcoming episodes. Great job!moreless
  • Wonderful start to a great series...

Samantha is an orphan and got a scholorship to Charles University. She meets her roomate, Kathryn, who is total brat and stuck up. She also meets Cynthia, a friend she met when she first got to her dorm. Sam runs into Deven, a star basketball player and his friend John. Deven, Sam, Kathryn and John all go out on the town and try to get into a club called The Colony, but end up sneaking liquor into their dorm and going to the roof. Deven and Sam have their moment, when they we're about to kiss, but John interupted trying to impress Kathryn. John, trying to impress Kathryn again, starts dancing on the edge of the roof, and falls off. They run down and they find him dead. Kathryn, being the vain girl she is, says to just run away and say that John jumped. Deven got his cell phone out to call the police, but Kathryn stopped him. Samantha, didn't know what to do, and followed Kathryn and Deven after they trailed off. Samantha felt guilty the next morning and wen't to the head of administration to 'step foward'. She told the administrator that her and John went up alone, and got him drunk, and he messed around and it was all her fault. The admin said that she will most likely be expelled, and her scholarship would be over. While crying in the bathroom after that talk, Sam meets TV star, Dawn Vargaz, and they become friends. Later that night, Sam, Dawn, and Cynthia go out to The Colony because Dawn has the right connections with the owner, Noah and bartender, Trent. During the time that Sam is out partying, the admin called in the woman who gave Samantha the scholarship, and she said that she will withdraw all of her money from Charles University, if they expel Samantha Best. In my opinon, this was a fantastic first episode and enough going on for me to tune in to find out what the rest of the series is about. Perfect episode, way to go.moreless
  • good episode...

i just finished watching the first episode of the series and it was better than i had expected...we first meet sam who is a foster child but gets a scholarship to a prestigous college where she meets her roommate kathryn who i dont like right know because she seems like a b***h right now and then we meet devon and john who live on the same floor...Devon is the college basketball player and john is his overweight actor friend...we also meet cynthia who is your average quiet geek...we get to know them a little bit and then we are but thrown a curve ball when sam, kathryn, john, devon decide to party a little bit so they buy some alcohol and head up to the roof where john starts to mess around and ends up falling off(and of course he didn't make it) and the three of them decided to just leave becuase according to their logic confessing wouldn't bring john back and devon and sam are on scholarship...but in the end sam came forward and told the truth but left out the part of devon and kathryn being with them and i will definately be tuning in next week.moreless
