Episode Summary

Drysdale sets Granny up with an older man on the Board of Directors, a playboy who dates young, attractive women. Mr. Cavanaugh meets Granny and is not too pleased with what he sees, wishing for a younger, more attractive lady. And Cavanaugh's original date for the night, who is described as his "dear, sweet old aunt" is set up with Jed. Of course, this "Aunt Phyllis" is no older woman; she's a young, glamorous girl. At first, she has doubts about the night and is not enjoying herself at dinner. But once she learns Jed is a multi-millionaire, she warms up to him, and she and Jed dance the rest of the night away. Granny's date doesn't end that well, however, because her date gets tired out.moreless

      • (Jed asks Phyllis if she wants to dance, after Granny shouted the question from across the restaurant. And Phyllis is trying to hide herself from the embarrassment) Jed: (shouting to Granny) Aunt Phyllis don't feel like dancin' yet! (Phyllis puts her head on the table, hiding her face, and Jed sees this, so he continues his conversation with Granny) I reckon she's had a might too much to drink. (Phyllis goes on the floor and covers herself with the table clothe) Yeah, that's it alright! Edit
      • (Granny and Clifton return home, having left Jed and Phyllis dancing their way down the Sunset Strip) Clifton: Could I have a cup of coffee? Granny: Sure, come on in. Maybe ya'd rather have a glass of warm milk. Clifton: Yeah, sounds great. Granny: Party pooper! Edit
      • (Granny is talking about making music with the water glasses for dancing) Granny: Cliffy, what do you do? Clifton: Well, I have a feeling that tonight, I'm going to do a lot of drinking. Edit
