When you've become familar with the series as I have and you re-experience again the early black-and-white episodes, you really realize how good the series was before it became much more crazy. In the beginning, the Clampetts really were innocents and Drysdale actually honorable. Mrs. Hathaway really peppered her language with words and phrases unheard of by eighty percent of the American public. This particular episode really stand out to me as the Clampetts discover fore of the mansion that would be their home for almost nine seasons. When I realize how good the series really was, I trully wish the series could have lasted longer to its inevitable conclusions.moreless

    • (Jethro is telling Jed about the day he spent with Big Mouth Bradshaw, and how he learned she was fast. He tells Jed that he told her to bring out the cookies she told him her mother baked) Jethro: Well, she just held up them cookies like this here, kinda blinked her eyes at me, and said, "Jethro, which do you think would taste sweeter, these here cookies or my lips?" Well Uncle Jed, right then and there is when I found out she was fast. I grabbed them two cookies, and it took me two miles to outrun that gal! Jed: Jethro, some one of these days you and me's gotta have a long talk. Edit
