Episode Summary

Elly May enters a Beverly Hills beauty contest, Queen Of Beverly Hills, and the Drysdales and Miss Jane try to make sure that she'll win. Though, when they hear it is a race, Granny is set on entering. When she finds out what type of contest it is, Granny drops out. Elly makes the final two, but doesn't win when she makes her speech. Instead, the judges give the prize to one of their own, a hidden beauty, to represent the city of Beverly Hills.moreless

Granny: Bathing suit? Why would ya wear one of them things? Jane: Well all the contestants have to wear bathing suits. Granny: Not me! Jane: But it's one of the rules! Granny: Then I'm takin' myself outta the race. Jed: I don't blame ya, Granny. Granny: Why if I was to show up in one of them skimpy bathing suits, it might start the men folks to fightin' over me. And I hear tell that these city men are bold to begin with. One of them rascals might run up and grab me and hug me and kiss me and tote me off and marry me. And I just put myself back in the race.
