When Jed and Granny see Elly May come down the stairs in her Gibson girl dress, Granny says that that is her sixty years ago. So at the turn of the century, Granny would have been around Elly's age, late teens/early twenties. Meaning Granny would have been born the 1880s and would now be in her seventies or eighties.
In the picture Mrs. Drysdale is planning to have taken, one shot is of the Native Americans giving the Thanksgiving turkey to the Pilgrims. Some claim there was no turkey at the first Thanksgiving; however, in William Bradford's first-hand narrative Of Plymouth Plantation, he says of the first Thanksgiving that "...there was a great store of wild turkeys, of which they took many, besides venison, etc."
Elly has a strong love for animals, as she shows in her episode especially this one by trying to save the Thanksgiving turkey. So, why does she still eat meat? She befriends most of the animal types which she eats.

Gloria Buckles is also the name of the secretary who would date and marry Shorty Kellems in season 8.
When Mrs. Drysdale realizes she let Pearl take her limo, she says she will call a cab. But in a later episode, she was forced to take a "common" cab and wasn't happy about it. Why is it okay now, but not later on?
If Mrs. Smith Standish was so exicited about all the old fashioned chores, why didn't she do the things Mrs. Drysdale did? Mrs. Smith Standish did a handfull of the activities, while Mrs. Drysdale was tortured doing them all.
Pearl tells Jed that maybe Elly ought to have a coming out party, describing what it is. But in the episode Elly Comes Out, they have never heard of this so-called "coming out party." Did Jed forget what Pearl told him?
In season 8, the Clampetts would once again be in the clutches in a confidence man, Honest John/Shifty Schaffer, who would sell them most of New York City and Washington D.C., and the San Bernardino Mountains.
