    jekyll, please sticky this.

I thought we could all discuss the episode that is set to air on Monday March 17th here itself...

Cant wait for it! The WGA strike interfered with my weekly intake of nerdiness I hope this is a good ep, and i really hope it doesn't deal with the Leonard/Penny relationship, because i like it when its PURE nerd talk.

    When exactly was it taped?

I find those fun facts interesting!

And due to watching other shows, I taped it, and will be watching it in just a bit. Hopefully it is good!!

Definately a lot of nerd talk in this one. Leonard and Howard rolling around fighting was hilarious. And the nerds controlling the remote control cars to stalk Penny was priceless. Glad to have new episodes on this back on the air.

Aside from issues with sound-syncing on the HD broadcast (all other three comedies were fine), it was a highly enjoyable episode.

Who else thought it was hilarious at the end when Penny tried to blow up Howard's brain after the facebook picture?

    Yeah, that was funny.

And for not being able to recognize sarcasm, Sheldon's pretty good at dealing it out.

I wonder if that's actually based on a real joke, or if they just made it up.

Anyway, if anyone doesn't know, that cell phone video Wolowitz made is posted at YouTube for real by user Wolowizard.

It's a real joke. I just looked it up to figure out what it meant, but in order to get it, you have to read a few other math/physics jokes to understand that the joke is about Physics as a field, not the chickens. Basically, it's based on the idea that physicists try to do real life stuff, but all physics theories are based on "ideal" situations. Most theories ignore things like air resistance, and use perfect objects instead of realistic ones. Thus the spherical chicken in a vacuum.

Yeah, I cracked up with the nerds at the spherical chickens joke. Other versions of the joke have a biologist and a chemist coming in first to do tests and examine the chickens, without being able to help... all the more contrast for the physicist, who just looks at the chickens, "makes some calculations," as Leonard said, then comes up with his "solution" without actually doing anything with the chickens to see what's wrong with them.

There's also one about measuring a cow, I think....

This episode was nice but it tried too hard to be smart...they dont HAVE to use nerd talk at every turn (i.e. when Leonard used the term "bedrock of my question). They're trying to impress in such instances, and they dont need to cause they've already gotten our attention.

The Leonard/Sheldon plot line could have ended nicer, with the whole "Sheldon is smarter than Leonard" theory being cleared up in a more elaborate matter.

All in all, not at all bad for a post-WGA strike episode. Cant wait for the next episode.

PS: Does anyone else realize the Loobenfeld Decay sounds eerily similar to The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde?
