In seasons 3 his research ran into a dead end and he started working for Sheldon. In the "Rothman Disintegration" Sheldon moved into his own office.
Now it's Season 6 and you never see the two working together, neither do you see them talking about it. Also, no one has ever said something about what Raj is doing right now.
