We learn that Howard's middle name is Joel.
Raj: Please don't send me back to India, it's so crowded. It's like the whole country is one endless Comic-Con, except everyboy's wearing the same costume—Indian Guy!
Howard: Wow, now I understand why you like this spot so much. The temperature's just right, there's no draft, and you can see the television clearly, but still talk to everyone-
Sheldon: I've changed my mind, get out of my spot! (Howard and Sheldon switch spots)
Penny: How long?
(Leonard checks his watch)
Leonard: 94 seconds! (gives Penny some money)
Sheldon: Whether you forgive me or not, I want you to have this
(Howard pulls a couch cushion out of a large bag)
Howard: You're giving me a couch cushion?
Sheldon: No, the cushion is merely symbolic. I'm giving you my spot on the couch.
Howard: But you love that spot!
Sheldon: No, I love my mother. My feelings for my spot are much greater.
Penny starts tending bar rather than waitressing to accomodate/hide Kaley Cuoco's broken leg from the horse riding accident that forced her to miss the previous two episodes. Kaley's broken leg will not be incorporated into the character of Penny, but hidden in much the same way a pregnant actress has her bump hidden from the audience.
This episode's end titles has Chuck Lorre's Vanity Card #309, where he addresses Kaley Cuoco's horse riding accident that forced her to miss two episodes with a number of tongue-in-cheek prohibitions of activities the cast members might engage in.
Kaley Cuoco was asked over Twitter what was really in the shot glass Jim Parsons was drinking from. She responded, "water and spit."
