Interesting. This plot involved the right number of people for the right amount of time and allowed each to shine and progress a little down their character development. I loved the reminder that Penny's totally into Leonard, even if she won't admit it/is waiting for him. It was nice to see Howard in the forefront again (I don't hate him nearly as much as I used to). And it was a great to see Sheldon relax and learn how to receive and tell jokes. A decent episode all around.moreless

I am glad TBBT is finally doing something with plot development, I mean we got a taste of that earlier this season with "The Maternal Capacitance" but we got a lot of plot development here. The Stuart & Penny relationship continues. I was actually surprised things were rehashed between the two, but of course there is a reason for Stuart & Penny's second date. We learn that Penny still might have feelings for Leonard when she calls Stuart, "Leonard." As far as penultimate episodes go, this really took the case as one of the best. Really gives us a sense of what the finale will be like. Of course, focused on Penny & Leonard.

Howard trying to fix something for his job was just filler in my opinion, and Sheldon was quite funny regardless if it was a filler plot. Him laughing at all the apparent jokes and him making a joke himself was quite funny as well. Leonard annoyed me in this episode though, I've come to realize how annoying he gets when he's fixed on Penny. Oh well, the episode was still entertaining and I just cannot wait for the season 2 finale of Big Bang.moreless
  • Finally an episode that matches the priceless ones from season one.

Finally an episode that matches the priceless ones from season one.

I mean, I had not laughed as hard yet this season.

The jokes were great. I mean, since they were not gross, I could not care less what they are about. To me, they were really funny -- at least my laugh o meter almost overflowed.

And, because I am sooo romantic, I loved the ending!!! I was very sympathetic with Leonard, I felt exactly what he felt :-)

I really do not see why not give Penny a second date with Stuart, since the aim of the whole thing was to give Leonard his nice little victory.moreless
  • Sheldon said a joke, and was turned on!!

haha the beginning was super funny and hilarious, I mean Sheldon was turned on because of the new comic books !! the guy only turned on by comics !! hes just crazy man !!

and they way he analysis the jokes and how he laugh at it was hilarious, i mean the guy knows how to play his role and i really enjoy it :D

poor Leonard still showing that he is desperate to Penny, and what was shown that she still having feelings for him !!!

but what was really hilarious that when Sheldon made a joke about Howard's toilet !!moreless
  • Stuart and Penny go on another date.

Well, it was better than last week's episode, I know that much. The show is still falling faster than GM stock though. Sheldon was wrong. There is a law of diminishing return on "poop" jokes and this episode had about fifteen too many. I understand that it was inescapable given what the plot was (Howard Wolowitz built a space toilet that was going to fail) but it was just a bit too much.

I did like Sheldon's laugh, but lately he has been the only real source of humor on the show. A comedy cannot function when only one character is funny though.moreless

  • TRIVIA (0)

  • QUOTES (9)

    • Howard: Hey, you want to make sure [Stuart] gets nowhere with Penny without jeopardizing your friendship with either of them?
      Leonard: I'm listening.
Howard: Just tell him to do everything you've done with her for the last two years.

    • Sheldon: For what it's worth, my mother says that when we deceive for personal gain, we make Jesus cry.

    • Raj: (to Leonard) You completely screwed up your karma, dude.
Sheldon: You don't really believe in that superstition, do you?
Raj: It's not superstition; it's practically Newtonian. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Leonard pretends to be a friend and acts like a two-faced bitch. Therefore, he is reborn as a banana slug. It's actually a very elegant system.

    • Howard: Alright, this is an exact duplicate of the Wolowitz Zero Gravity Human Waste Disposal System as deployed in the International Space Station.
Raj: Don't you mean the Wolowitz Zero Gravity Human Waste Distribution System?

    • Sheldon: Yeah, I have to say I thought the toilet humor would get less funny with repetition. Apparently there is no law of diminishing comedic returns with space poop.

    • Leonard: Here's an approximation of the spare parts available on the Space Station. We gotta find a way, using nothing but this, to reinforce this so the waste material avoids the spinning turbine.
Raj: You mean so it doesn't hit the fan?

    • Leonard: It must be hell inside your head.
      Sheldon: At times.

    • Leonard: First of all, don't underestimate the value of discomfort.
      Penny: Really?
Leonard: Yeah, Stuart thrives under pressure; that's why he works at a comic book store.

    • Stuart: Leonard, could I talk to you about something?
      Leonard: Yeah, sure, what's up?
Stuart: Remember I went out with your friend Penny a couple weeks ago?
      Leonard: Yeah, vaguely.
Raj: Sure you remember! That was the night you went to the bar and made a fool out of yourself trying to pick up strange women.
