Dr. Gablehouser is trying to recruit a 15 year-old named Dennis to his physics department, and he enlists the help of Sheldon and Leonard in doing so. Unfortunately, Dennis immediately criticizes Sheldon's string theory research, admits that he is the youngest recipient of an award for which Sheldon was once the youngest recipient, and generally cuts down everything that Sheldon says. This renders Sheldon even more impossible to live with, as his melancholic state makes him even more insufferable.
At work, Sheldon desperately grapples for another project - even going so far as to suggest that a replica of Jerusalem be made in the Mexican desert to create peace in the Middle East. He also attaches himself first to Leonard, then Howard, then Raj in an attempt to help them with their prospective projects; he proves so annoying that they all have the same response, "Go away."
Leonard, Raj, and Howard then devise a plan to get Dennis - and by extension, Sheldon - out of their hair. They arrange a take your daughter to work day at the lab, so Dennis can be distracted by the girls. Although this seems to be a dead end at first, Dennis quickly finds a girlfriend and his research instead assumes the status of dead end.
Later, the guys see Dennis hanging out with friends on a lawn, drinking from a paper bag and making out with his girlfriend. Only Sheldon is unsympathetic for the loss of a great mind.
