  • This episode was epic !

Writers clearly weren't drunk or stoned and had plenty of sleep, which imho a lot of episodes this season have clearly not been given this level of attention.

    cast nailed it

plot a bit thin as usual but well executed,

even the cheap cgi just nailed it,

    then i see the cake,

to hate this episode is to hate comedy done well.

i suspect the follwing episodes will take us back to the lameness and stupid stuff, before penny takes 'time away' for a job or makes a big move on leonard.

took the .5 off cos i'm mean.

  • Professor Proton!

Any episode with Bob Newhart is an instant 10.

Newhart + Sheldon combination is probably the most hilarious combination on this series.

Almost equal to Howard + his mother.

  • Didn't like it

Really didn't like it. A whole episode on the death of a character we saw like twice (I had to check if the actor playing him was dead at the beginning because I couldn't believe they would do a whole episode on him without it being an hommage), and the Star Wars thing that couldn't interest me because of my very low interest in SW.

A couple of good jokes at the beginning, but overall I didn't like it.moreless
  • The Proton Transmogrification

That was a hilarious episode from start to finish with some sweet emotional moments. The Star Wars jokes and puns were delightful and I really liked how Sheldon coped with Professor Proton's death. Overall fantastic episode.

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Professor Proton's "Force ghost" appearance is based on Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars Episodes 5 and 6. However, his lightsaber hilt is the one that Obi-Wan uses in Episodes 1 and 2, as opposed to the rusted version seen in Episode 4.
That being said, Force ghosts don't typically carry lightsabers.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Amy: Do you want me to go to the funeral with you?
Sheldon: Oh, I'm not going to the funeral.
      Amy: Why not?
Sheldon: All those people blowing their noses? Can't tell the sick from the sad. I will be at home celebrating Star Wars day as planned.
Amy: Are you sure you don't wanna go and say goodbye?
Sheldon: Amy, mourning the inevitable is a complete waste of time.
Amy: And watching a bunch of goofy space movies you've seen hundred of times isn't?
Sheldon: If we were in a physical relationship, you just lost sex tonight.

    • Bernadette: ..and even though we had missed the movie, we could still be a part of the fun!
Howard: Oh, you didn't miss anything, we just started over.
      Bernadette: Son of a Bitch!

    • Sheldon: (While Leonard hugs him) Your heart might be in the right place, but your head, chest, and arms certainly are not.

    • Leonard: I do not cry.
      Penny: Toy Story 3?
Leonard: The toys were holding hands in a furnace!
