  • Trivia

    • Sheldon makes two blatantly wrong predictions in flashbacks: Firefly would run "for years" and told Raj that he would be sorry he wasted his money on an Apple iPod when Microsoft "comes out with theirs" implying the the Microsoft Zune would be more popular than the iPod series. In reality, Firefly only lasted for one season before being cancelled by Fox leading to Sheldon's hatred of Fox and, by extension, Rupert Murdoch while the Microsoft Zune dwindled in sales from the moment it was released with the entire line being discontinued a mere five years later after initial release, while the iPod became a global icon when it comes to music players.

    • In Howard's room of 2003 they showed a Roboraptor and a slimline PS2, neither of which was available then.

  • Quotes

    • Sheldon: Roommates agree that Friday nights shall be reserved for watching Joss Whedon's brilliant new series, "Firefly".
Leonard: Does that really need to be in the agreement?
Sheldon: Well, we might as well settle it now, it's gonna be on for years.

    • Leonard: (in 2003, hearing Howard's mother for the first time) Is that your dad?
Howard: If she grows anymore hair on her face, yes.

    • Penny: So Sheldon's last roommate tried to warn you off?
Leonard: For all I knew, he was the crazy one. He had this really deranged look.
Penny: Well, yeah, he'd been living with Sheldon.
Leonard: Sure, it makes sense now!!!!

    • (Recounting to Penny about applying for the room for rent at Sheldon's, and how there were warning signs)
Leonard: (knocks on door; a large man wearing a bright pink dress opens) Doctor Cooper???
Man: No, you want the crazy guy across the hall.
Leonard: (voiceover) In retrospect, that should have been clue number 2...

    • Leonard: Screw the roomate agreement!
Sheldon: You don't screw the roomate agreement; the roomate agreement screws you!

    • Sheldon: Explain the couch.
Leonard: Well, there were some people on the first floor moving out, and they sold it to me for $100. Howard and Raj helped me bring it up.
Sheldon: But what's wrong with the furniture we have?
Leonard: They're lawn chairs. And there was no place for company.
Sheldon: Did it occur to you that was by design?

    • Sheldon: (reading from roommate agreement) "Roommates agree that Friday nights shall be reserved for watching Joss Whedon's brilliant new series, Firefly."
Leonard: Does that really need to be in the agreement?
Sheldon: We might as well settle it now. It's going to be on for years.

    • Mrs. Wolowitz: (shouting from another room) Howard! Are you having a playdate?
Howard: (also shouting) I don't have playdates, Mom, I have colleagues!
Mrs. Wolowitz: Do their parents know they're here?
Howard: No, but if you keep talking maybe they'll hear you!
