Season 3 might very well be weaker than the first two, but this episode was a stand out. Oliver Platt should be nominated for an Emmy and every other award for TV acting that exists because he owns this special episode.
The adoption thing is giving Paul and Cathy a hard time because the young couple that doesn't want children is making a decision between them (sick people who are heading towards 50) and a young couple in their early 30's. So Cathy pays for this special skin peeling that only gives her a rash and her face looks totally burned. And also Adam is not helping - until the end when he talked to the couple very honestly about his parents' skills and his childhood and everything. He needs to work it out with his mother because he said he lied about her being a good parent. Meanwhile Paul speaks at the Joy's seminar and just when I started to think he sucked our dear Paul got himself together and gave a speach of his life ;) so Joy went straight to the point and offered him to go to the 'speaking tour de USA' with her!!!
P.S. I still miss Marlene. Phyllis Sommerville is absolutely amazing and I will not forgive them for killing her so early on. 9,5/10moreless
