The Big Ten's Greatest Games is a sports program from the Big Ten Network that features the greatest football games from the history of the Big Ten Conference. The Big Ten was established in 1896, and was expanded to eleven teams when Penn State joined in 1990. Over the years, one of the nation's premiere conferences has seen its share of classic clashes on the gridiron. Big Ten's Greatest Games replays these games, cutting out any game footage of non-action because of time restraints. Notable games include the largest comeback in Division 1-A history, legendary battles from the Michigan-Ohio State "Ten-Year War", and match-ups that saw a top-seeded team's national championship hopes crumble. Also featured are high-scoring shootouts, bitter rivalry games, and games decided by last-second touchdowns. Starting in 2011, the University of Nebraska will also join the Big Ten. The Cornhuskers' addition to the already competitive conference guarantees that many legendary Big Ten games are still to come.
