The Bill Engvall Show has always been a hackneyed, unoriginal, way too clean family sitcom. This episode changed my opinion on the program and got me excited about the season finale next week. Engvall was on top of his game, very uncharacteristic of the stand up comedian turned actor. The scenes flowed well and the program moved very quickly. Tim Meadows was hilarious as usual, even in his limited role.
The episode was very relatable as I went through learning how to drive just a few years ago. Although it's been done on TV a dozen times, and the premonition storyline is very similar to an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, this was a great broadcast and definitely a series classic. If every edition of The Bill Engvall Show was as well-written as this the show could be a Top 5 comedy on TV.
All the actors played their parts well, even the insufferable Bryan was fine and justified in this half-hour. The laughs were non-stop throughout, instead of the usual one or two good lines a show. I hope I don't regret using the word droll to describe Bill in this episode, but it was refreshing to see him actually be funny.moreless
Susan becomes pre-occupied after she has a dream about Bill having an affair and then he meets a woman with the same name. Lauren helps Trent to get his driver's license.
