Good news for the show's immediate future...

According to MediaWeek, the premiere drew 3.9 million viewers, the third-largest audience for a cable sitcom ever. It also had the best numbers in the 18-49 and 25-54 demographics on all of cable on Tuesday. I fully expect the second episode to dip a bit, but I'm sure TBS will be pretty happy as long as the show levels off averaging more than 2 million viewers a week.

This gives TBS 3 fairly successful original comedies now. House of Payne debuted to a cable-record 5.8 million viewers on June 6 and has averaged a solid 2.42 million since, and My Boys averaged 1.55 million viewers during its first season.
