Hello,
Does anyone know what has happened to billfans.com? i haven't been able to access it for 2-3 weeks. I miss posting stuff about The Bill.

It goes down a lot (and for extended periods) doesn't it? I used to be very busy in that site, but I drifted away a couple of years ago when it was down for months, and soon got out of the habit of checking to see whether it was up.
You could always mention this forum over there if/when it gets back on its feet. We could do with the traffic!

Yeah its very annoying, i did email them in reply to the welcome to... message i received when i signed up to it but haven't had a reply back. It seemed to go a bit quiet on the post front before it went down which was a pity especially as there was interest from some at The Bill for feedback regarding merchandise for the upcoming 25 years but no one seemed to reply to it. I'll keep checking and if it does return i'll certainly mention the forum here. I'm also having similar problems getting any further than the front page on billbios.co.uk are they run by the same people?

They have been hosted on the same webspace for the past couple of years, so when one goes down they both do.

I'm not sure what has happened to the Billfans.com but if you are missing out on posting I have spotted a list of other fan sites on the summary page for The Bill. I can highly recommend the bill unoffical fan site to you.

I have given up on billfans.com. The site is down more ofen than not, and no explanation is ever given by either the site moderator Matthew or the owner Liam (who I can't remember the last time I saw on the site). It's not surprising that most of the users have deserted the site.
It was me who asked for feedback on a 25th anniversary calendar. I posted the same topic at http://www.sierra-oscar.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=995 and received a much better response.

Just want to let everyone know that Billfans.com is back open and running smoothly.

Recent 'on-off' downtime has been caused by problems with the hosts, and problems with the forum. The forum system we had before is no longer supported by it's creators, and it has taken me almost 2 years to find a solution to convert it to something better. This has now been achieved.

Everything is now very stable, and here to stay.
