Pick Up has one redeeming feature. It follows on from Don't Like Mondays and shows us how the relief are dealing with Pete Ramsey's shooting.
This is the only episode to do so as Haynes struggles to cope with his best friend struggling to recover and confronting Tosh Lines, whose actions in the previous episode resulted in the shooting. In a strong scene, a horrified looking Lines stands in front of Haynes who calls him a 'waste of space' and 'dangerous'.
Other than that, this is a very average episode as Burnside almost cons the uniform relief into bringing in most of Sun Hill's prostitutes so he can get information on a future bank raid that would lead him to be in favour with the Robbery Squad.
The only problem being, Tosh gets information of a theft involving the same suspect and inadvertantly alerts uniform so they can nab Burnside's suspect instead.

Haynes and Martella follow a car which is being driven erratically. Viv is worried about Haynes because he is a friend of Ramsey. Frazer briefs uniform about how to pick up prostitutes who are suspected of rolling their punters but they are cover so a snout can talk to robbery squad.
