    • TRIVIA (2)

      • When Jaime first encounters Darwin in Rudy's lab, she thinks he's dead, but the actor can be seen to swallow.

      • Biofeedback is NOT "raising one's level of awareness to a point where you can focus inside yourself on one specific muscle...and increase, or decrease, its activity." It's actually a scientific fad from the 60s/70s using machines (mostly the oscilloscope) to view or hear involuntary and/or unconscious body processes (such as heart rate, brain waves, etc.), with the goal of learning to control them consciously. It had nothing to do with meditation or monks in Tibet. (Researchers don't use Biofeedback anymore because they found that the same goals could be achieved using meditation, so there's no need for expensive equipment.)

    • QUOTES (4)

      • Jaime: This fence is ten feet high. It's got barbed wire at the top and it is high voltage.
Darwin: How did you get over it?
Jaime: Well, you can't do it my way.
Darwin: Well, then, I'll do it mine. I can use the biofeedback to let the high voltage pass right through me. I'll just climb over it.
Jaime: Right. And what's gonna happen when you start thinkin' about the men with guns down there, who will shoot you if they see you?
Darwin: I can do it, Jaime.
        Jaime: (exasperated) You are impossible!

      • Payton: Dar started teaching me some meditation techniques. They work.
Jaime: I know. I've been trying those exercises that you taught me, and I feel a lot more relaxed and in touch with myself since I have.
Darwin: Have you been in touch with your stomach lately?
        Jaime: Huh?
Darwin: I thought you were going to take me to lunch!

      • Rudy: Darwin? You alright? How do you feel?
        Darwin: Very refreshed.
Rudy: I wish you wouldn't go that far under without warning me!
Darwin: I'm sorry. Did I startle you?
Jaime: Well, you scared the... ahem... out of me.

      • (Jaime and Rudy are standing over a supposedly dead man)
Jaime: Rudy, is he dead or not?
Rudy: To all external appearances, yes, but... this is quite an unusual man, Jaime.
Jaime: Oh, really? Does he, uh, drop off like this often?
Rudy: I've never seen him go this far.

    • NOTES (1)

      • It is generally believed that this episode was a set-up for a spin-off series, Darwin Jones becoming another uniquely talented OSI operative with a series.
